The present scenario deals with scientific advancements in all fields which enhance the yield, but the availability of foods to nooks and corners of the world is meagre. At times, susceptibility and vulnerability towards certain diseases may also boost these concerns. There are some concerns for example contamination of food at the level of food manufacturing, packaging, distribution and at the end avail to the consumer. This review highlights the major issues and future challenges concerning the food risk assessment and the role of different contributors/stakeholders such as academia, industry, and regulatory authorities.
