Abstract Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises are drivers of India's economic growth. In the year 2012–2013, their contribution to the GDP was estimated to be 37.54%. Understanding their importance, the Government of India has time and again formulated policies for the development of the MSME Sector. This paper is a grass-root level study on Bengaluru's only official and functional industrial cluster. It investigates the process of establishment and the regular functions of the Electronics City Industries Association Cluster (ELCIA Cluster). The members of this cluster were interviewed for understanding if any differences were there in their perception of the cluster's success on the basis of the enterprises’ profile. This paper has also attempted to capture the reasons for MSMEs to join ELCIA cluster. Top Keywords Cluster, Enterprise, MSMEs, Development, Industries. Top |
