Influence of age and gender on employee engagement

Abstract

Abstract Engaged employees is instrumental and rewarding to any organization. They will be passionate and more involved in their jobs and this result in enhancement of productivity and commitment of employees towards the organization. The intent of the present study is to examine the influence of demographic variables of gender and age on the employee engagement of middle level employees in a giant automobile manufacturing organization based at Bangalore. The study also aims at understanding how much the middle level employees are engaged in their work. Oneway ANOVA, Post Hoc test and T-tests are used to analyze the data. Findings reveal that the middle level employees are highly engaged. Age and gender has a statistically significant effect on the engagement level of employees. The implications are also discussed.
