It is commonly used as a method of drug delivery, particularly for medications that need to be administered in small doses over a long period of time. The film typically contains active pharmaceutical ingredients in a variety of forms, including powders, granules, or gels. It is typically placed with a device, such as a spatula, and it dissolves rapidly and completely after being placed in the mouth. The benefits of buccal films include convenience, compliance, improved patient outcomes, and better patient satisfaction. The main disadvantage is that the dosage may not be as accurate as with other drug delivery methods. Buccal films is that they are an effective and safe method of administering medication to patients. Buccal films offer a fast and easy method of delivering drugs, with minimal risk of side effects, making them a preferred method of drug delivery for many patients and healthcare professionals.
