Online published on 27 April, 2021. Abstract Vitiligo is an acquired skin disorder of pigmentation in which the white patches are form on skin, with an incidence of 0.5% to 2% worldwide. Vitiligo is clinically characterised by the development of white patches on skin due to the loss of functioning melanocyte in the skin or hair. The main cause of Vitiligo involves the interaction between defects of natural and extrinsic melanocyte, immune innate to swelling and destruction of T-cell-mediated melanocyte. In modern medicine, the photo chemotherapy is satisfactory method for treatment of leucoderma, but it has very common adverse effect. In this review, we shall discuss the vitiligo treatments, causes and their important clinical and molecular aspects.
