Online published on 18 October, 2016. Abstract The study was conducted to assess the self-esteem before and after parental touch among children. The sample consisted of 30 children under the age group of 10–12 years were selected by purposive sampling technique. It was a one group pre test post test design. The self esteem was assessed using the Rosenberg self esteem scale. The reliability of the tool by Pearson correlation method r=0.91, was high. The study findings showed that there was a significant increase in post test self esteem after parental touch t=-10.26, p>0.05. Top Keywords Self esteem, Parental touch, Children. Top | |
