A Descriptive study to assess the knowledge and prevention on foot care among the Diabetes mellitus client who are attending medical OPD in GR Medical College and Hospital Gwalior M.P.

Diabetes mellitus is metabolic disorder characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and trouble in carbohydrate, protein and fat as a result of defect in insulin secretion, insulin diabetes action or both (1). In this study the descriptive research design is used and nonprobability sampling technique is used for selection of sample, the sample is diabetic client in general medical OPD of G.R. Medical College and hospital Gwalior M.P. The sample size is 40 and data are collected by structured questionnaire. The level of score regarding diabetes among the diabetic client are different from finding of study. The study conclude the highest % of diabetic client (20%) was in the group 25 to 33 year in 34 to 42 (32.5) in 43 to 50 year it was (47.55%). Majority of sample occupation is in 25 to 50 year related to their occupation % that (55%) are unemployment and 45% are employment. the 25 to 50 in relation to their religion that is (52.5%) are Hindu, (30%) are Muslim and (17.5%) are Christian. The reason for conducting the study in OPD of G.R Medical College and Hospital Gwalior M.P. Because most of people come from rural area they having very less exposure of knowledge.
