Abstract This review article is based on a systematic review of literature sourced from the web of knowledge which provides access to leading journals and conference proceedings worldwide. Lean transformation is commonly used to characterize an organisation moving from a conventional way of thinking to Lean Thinking. It needs an entire transformation in the way an organisation conducts its business. Lean Thinking as an approach must be imbibed in the culture of the organisation.
