Online published on 22 September, 2017. Abstract Purpose This paper evaluates some recent articles concerning the management theory. The paper stresses upon the need for reformation of management theories. Design/Methodology/Approach The paper is presented mainly as a viewpoint based on some recent pieces of literature and original arguments. Findings The paper observes that business is a part of the larger existential order and needs to play a role in helping humans meet their goals of continuous happiness and prosperity. There is need for a new business theory that contextualizes the human face of business and emerges as a humane model of business. Originality/Value The paper brings together various pieces of literature from inter-disciplinary fields and puts them together in the context of management theory.
