Abstract

Audio visual aids are important in education system. The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge about the effectiveness of Audio Visual Aids in teaching among III year DGNM students at School of Nursing, Kanyakumari Government Medical College, Asaripallam. A descriptive approach, Non Experimental Research design was chosen. The participants were selected using Purposive sampling technique and the data was collected through the semi structured questionnaire interview schedule by the investigator for 20 minutes. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analysis the data. The data revealed that 93% of the subjects and adequate knowledge and 7% of them had inadequate knowledge. Majority of the subjects above 20 years of age had adequate knowledge about Audio Visual Aids through printed material.
