Abstract

Quasi experimental study was done to assess the effectiveness of laughter therapy on level of blood pressure among 60 patients with primary Hypertension selected through non probability convenient sampling technique. Laughter therapy was administered and blood pressure was assessed by using Med India Blood pressure tool. The findings of the study revealed that paired “t”= 11.74 of systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure 9.58 and it was found to be statistically highly significant at p< 0.05 level between experimental and control group. Thus the laughter therapy had significant effect in reducing the systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
