Abstract

A survey on the occurrence of per cent disease incidence of dry root rot were carried out in three districts (Indore, Shajapur and Sehore) of M.P. during 2012–13, revealed a diseases incidence of 8.0 to 10.80 per cent in soybean crop and 8.27 to 12.40 per cent in chickpea. Observations were recorded from farmers’ fields under field condition and five to six fields were selected from each village and in the similar manner a total of five to six villages were selected from each tehsil so as to consider 30 locations from each tehsil. About 10–15 spots were selected randomly for collecting root samples representing the entire field. Randomly 100 plants were selected in each location in a field and number of plants showing symptom of infection were counted and the mean disease incidence computed was expressed in percentage.
