Tablets taken through oral administration is most convenient route, because it is safe and easy administration route. In recent times researcher developed Oral Disintegratng Tablets (ODT) for better patient convenience. FDTs/ODTs are solid dosage forms which dissolve rapidly in saliva without chewing and additional water. ODTs overcome the problems that associated with conventional dosage form i.e. difficulty in swallowing in pediatric and geriatric patients. This survey incorporates properties, qualities, challenges in detailing, different advances created for FDT, licensed advances, evaluation techniques and various marketed products.
