A two months study was made on urinary tract infection in adults (male & female) diabetic and non-diabetic IP and OP patients. This study was basically done to identify the major causative micro-organisms (mainly bacteria) present in the urine samples collected from both catheterized and self-voided patients. During this study the following factors such as patient's age, sex, mode of specimen collection, appearance of specimen, microscopic examination, colony count and blood sugar level were all taken into account.
