Abstract

In recent times, there has been a lot of news written about the contamination of various fruits, vegetables and aerated drinks for better taste and yield which caught our interest. We selected some commonly found fruits, vegetables, aerated drinks, packaged fruit juices and performed basic tests. The consumption of aerated drinks is yet a questionable issue for general wellbeing and health. Throughout the years, various experiments and reviews have been conducted to find out the conceivable connections between drink consumption and health issues, the aftereffects of which, in any case, remains profoundly challenged. The biochemical tests that we performed were protein estimation by Bronsted Lowry method, pH and microbial tests where methylene blue dye reduction test gave us the contamination levels and the test to check the zone of inhibition.
