Pesticide Residue in the Farmgate Samples of Bottlegourd, Cauliflower, Cabbage and Fenugreek at Jaipur

Abstract

The farmgate samples of bottlegourd (27), cauliflower (27), cabbage (13) ana fenugreek (5) when monitored for possible pesticide residues showed the presence of monocrotophos, fenvalerate, endosulfan, phosphamidon, HCH, DDVP, dimethoate, chlorpyriphos and methyl demeton. One sample of bottlegourd, 9 samples of cauliflower, 5 samples of cabbage and 2 samples so fenugreek showed insecticide residues above maximum residue limit (MRL).
