Vitamin -A Responsive Dermatosis in a Dog
Abstract
A four years old terrier female dog was presented with chronic skin lesions viz. dry and rough haircoat, scaling, alopecia, erythema, crust and pruritus. Skin scraping were negative for ectoparasites. Total T4 was within the normal range. The dog was treated with oral Vitamin A for 15 days and reviewed. There was remarkable improvement in condition and concluded that the dermatological condition was Vitamin A responsive dermatosis and treated successfully.
