Management of Parthenium hysterophorus L. through atrazine with Cassia uniflora extract
Abstract
Evaluation of synergistic effect of aqueous extracts of Cassia uniflora and atrazine on chlorophyll disintegration and percentage mortality was achieved. Treatment having 1/2 dose of atrazine along with 10% aquous extract of C. uniflora was found to be most efffective as the amount of chlorophyll ‘a’, ‘b’, total chlorophyll, carotenoids, pigment mg/g was recorded minimum after 7 days interval of first and second spray. The studies revealed that lower dose of chemical supplemented with C. uniflora extract was found effective in controlling Parthenium hysterophorus.
