Abstract The Indian auto industry is one of the largest in the world. The industry accounts for 7.1 per cent of the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The Two Wheelers segment with 81 per cent market share is the leader of the Indian Automobile market owing to a growing middle class and a young population. Though we have many opportunities in this aspect, managing the quality in automobile products is still worst when comparing western companies. Hence the work environment has a significant impact upon employee performance and productivity. It includes those processes, systems, structures, tools or conditions in the workplace that impact favorably or unfavorably an individual performance. It also adding policies, rules, culture, resources, working relationships, work location, and internal and external environmental factors, all of which influence the ways those employees perform their job functions. Good interpersonal relationships help to achieve personal goals of the individuals and organizational goals of the whole team, while bad interpersonal relationships are the cause of stress in the organization and affect results of work of the individuals, groups, departments, work teams and sometimes the whole organization. In this aspect the study has been initiated, further this study will throw light on the major causes of stress and facilitate the scientific techniques which may destroy it.
