Abstract MSMEs which include Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, constitute a majority of any economy in the world and play a significant role in enhancing economic and social development, innovation, individual creativity and employment generation. In India, MSME Sector contributes to 8% of the country's GDP, 45% of the manufactured output, and 40% of its exports. It provides employment to about 60 million people through over 26 million enterprises producing 6000 products. However, the entrepreneurs and senior executives of these MSMEs often face a variety of problems in starting and growing their businesses. This Case Study is restricted to the problems faced by the MSMEs engaged in the manufacture of goods and/or providing services in the Energy, Transportation and Infrastructure Sectors, located in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy Districts of Andhra Pradesh (India). It also explores the problems being faced by the entrepreneurs/promoters of these enterprises in these specific industries, and the ways and means to resolve them based on the suggestions to the policy makers, Government and the other concerned agencies. It is based on empirical study (small sample of size 30) and direct survey and highlights the problems faced by entrepreneurs/owners in these three specific Sectors.
