Abstract The effects of workplace aggression and work stress on work-family of 110 software professionals were examined. Workplace Aggression Research-Questionnaire (Neuman and Keashley, 2004), the Workplace Stress Scale (The Marlin Company, 2001), Work-Family Conflict Scale (Netemeyer, Boles, &McMurrian, 1996), were administered. In-depth interviews were also conducted on 20 employees. Analysis employing correlation, t-tests, showed significant effects of workplace aggression on work-family conflicts. Work stress was also found to be significantly related to workplace aggression and work-family conflicts. The others factors found responsible for these results were long working hours, unfriendly work-environment, work overload, lack of spouse support, responsibilities etc. Limitations, suggestions and implications for further research are discussed.
