Homosexuality and aids: a threat to human civilization

Abstract

Homosexuality is one of the most controversial issues of the present era. It is a preference for affiliation and sexual activity with a person of the same-sex. The present article ventures into the dynamics of this vexed problem of Homosexuality, its multifaceted aspects, its magnitude alongwith its dreadful consequences affecting the individual in particular and the society at large. Thus while making an indepth study of the ongoing debatable global issue regarding homosexuality and its prevalence in the Western society casting serious repercussions on the developing countries including India have been duly analyzed. An effort has also been made to study various kinds of venereal diseases and their modes of transmissions specially the dreaded disease known as Acquired Amino Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), being one of the grave consequences of homosexuality, while recapitulating certain nodal points of discussion, some humble suggestions have been put forth to combat the growing menace of homosexuality vis-á-vis its severe implications in the society.
