Many women endure violent treatment by intimate partners in our society, often suffering in silence. In extreme cases, domestic violence results in fatalities. This paper explores the meaning, causes, types, and after-effects of domestic Violence on abused women. It also delves into managing this threat and scrutinizes the roles of social workers, professionals, and voluntary organizations in intervening for affected individuals.
