Abstract Talakona is floristically rich area where plants of various categories are growing spontaneously in their natural habitat. It is located in Sri Venketeswara National Park, Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh in India. With a 270 feet (82 m) water fall, it is the highest waterfall in the state. Talakona is known for wide variety of Medicinal Plants that have been in existence, identified and utilized since hundreds of years by local tribes.
