Abstract A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Planned Physical Activity (PPA) on overweight children. Pre Experimental, one group, Pre and posttest design was used with 30 overweight children who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The exercise program & its benefits were taught to the children and their parents followed by the intervention which consisted of 40 minutes of PPA per session of 5 days per week for 10 weeks. significant difference between pre and post test at p< 0.001 which concludes that the PPA has a beneficial effect The results showed a statistical among overweight children.
