Abstract Mango is one of the important fruit crops grown extensively in Gujarat which was found severely affected by grey leaf blight disease at Horticulture farm of Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari. Looking to disease severity, present investigation was carried out to study the sources of resistance against the grey leaf blight disease of mango. Screening with thirty five cultivars of mango was carried out in two consecutive years 2010 and 2011 against grey leaf blight disease of mango. Among them K hod i, Amr utiyo, Neelam, Barmasi I, Barmasi II cultivars showed resistant reaction while Jahangir pasand, Payri, Totapuri, Alphonso, Bombay Green, Dashehari, Gandevi selection I, Gandevi selection II and Vanraj exhibited moderately resistant reaction against grey leaf blight of mango. The eighteen cultivars viz., Nileshan, Ashadhio, Langra, Sardar, Amir pasand, Raj apuri, J amadar, Neelphanso, Mulgoa, Totapuri Red Small, Amrapali, Arka Anmol, Arka Aruna, Dudhia, Kent, Mallika, Nagina Pasand and Sindhu showed moderately susceptible reaction, while Kesar, Fazali and Pethal showed susceptible reaction against grey leaf blight of mango.
