Abstract

Five different sowing periods of okra were evaluated against Tetranychus urticae Kochduring summer 2012 and 2013 at Main Vegetable Research Station, Anand Agricultural University, Anand. Among different five sowing periods the extra early (3rd week of January) and early (1st week of February) sowing periods harboured low population of mite which reflected on okra fruit yield. The normal sowing (3rd week of February) and late sowing (1st week of March) showed comparatively higher incidence of mite which affecting the production of okra fruit. In contrast to this, the delayed sown (3rd week of March) crop severely suffered to T. urticae and hence low yield of okra fruits.
