The sequence of occurrence of important insect pests and their natural enemies was worked out on field pea and the studies revealed that the incidence of aphid and leafhopper started simultaneously along with whitefly and thrips and formed the first group of the pests to invade field pea crop. Invasion of leafminer started just two weeks after the appearance of the first group of pests. The last and third group of pests that colonized field pea was formed by H. armigera. The four predators viz., coccinellid, chrysopid, syrphid fly and spider appeared at different period in that order exerting to some extent natural check on various insect pests.
