Abstract The present study was carried out at Horticultural Instructional Farm, Dept. of Horticulture, JAU, Junagadh on evluation of gladiouls genotypes for vase life of cut flower production with Randomized Block Design during 2011–12. The maximum vase-life of spike was observed in ‘Summer sunshine ’(15.22 days), longevity of floret insitu was found in the variety ‘Poppy tear ’(18.93 days), days to wilting of basal floret was found in ‘Candiman ’, (4.87), number of floret remaining open at a time in vase was recorded highest in ‘Candiman ’(6.56) and number of florets remaining unopened was observed in ‘Poppy Tear ’(4.77). While the minimum vase-life of spike was observed in ‘Red majesty ’(11.22 days), longevity was found in variety ‘Pacifica ’(9.13 days), day to wilting of basal floret was found in ‘Poppy tear ’(2.60), number of floret remaining open at a time in vase was found in ‘White prosperity ’(3.00) and number of florets remaining unopened was observed in ‘Candiman ’(1.06).
