Abstract

Seven pigeonpea genotypes viz., ICP 87119, ICPL 93001, ICPL 96047, ICPL 99055, ICPL 99046, ICPL 96061and C 11 when showed resistant reaction with 0–10% incidence, whereas susceptible check TTB 7 showed susceptible reaction with >50% incidence during screening for seven years (2000–01 to 2006–07) Among eleven host differentials screened against Fusarium udum, for four years, six host differentials viz., ICP 9174, C 11, ICP 8863, ICP 87119, ICP 8859 and ICP 8858 showed resistant reaction with mean wilt incidence of 0.59%, 1.68%, 2.17%, 2.70%, 8.36% and 8.59%, respectively. In another trial, eight genotypes assessed against wilt disease and yield performance during 2004–07, out of these seven promising genotypes viz., ICPL 99055, ICP 89049, ICPL 99046, ICP 87119, BSMR 853, ICPL 96047 and ICP 8863 were showed resistant reaction with 0–10% wilt incidence. BDN 2010 showed moderately resistant reaction with 10.1 to 30% wilt incidence. Whereas susceptible check TTB-7 showed susceptible reaction with more than 50% wilt incidence. Maximum mean yield of 1460.50 kg/ha was recorded from BDN 2010, followed by ICP 8863 (1302 kg/ha.), lowest yield of 522 kg/ha was recorded from susceptible check TTB 7.
