The plant material after collection and drying was extracted by soxhlation process. Analgesic activity was performed in albino mice and antipyretic activity was done in albino rats Hot Plate and Acetic acid induced writhing methods were used for assessment of analgesic activity. Yeast induced pyrexia model was used for determination of antipyretic activity. The Ethanolic Extract of leaves of Ficus dalhousiae Miq. at the dose of (250mg/kg and 500mg/kg) produced a dose dependent significant analgesic effect both in hotplate and acetic acid induced method(P <0.001). However the extract at the same doses as above showed weak antipyretic effect (P <0.01)when compared with the control group. Top Keywords Ficus dalhousiae Miq, Analgesic, Antipyretic. Top |
