Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during 2009–2010 to assess the effect of Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) with different combinations of organic, inorganic and biofertilizers for tissue cultured Grand Naine banana in Mizoram condition. The study of two years indicates that yield attributing characters viz. no. of fingers per hand, finger length, finger volume, circumference and weight of finger were significantly influenced by biofertilizers, organic manure and inorganic fertilizers. Among all treatments 100% RDF + VAM + Azospirillum + PSB + Trichoderma harzianum showed overall superiority in all these parameters. It was followed by 75% RDF + VAM + Azospirillum + PSB + Trichoderma harzianum. This treatment also recorded best results in post harvest soil characteristics like organic C, pH, available N, P and K value.
