Abstract The efficacy five fungicides and four bio-control agents was evaluated against Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht in vitro and in vivo in muskmelon. Bavistin (100 ppm) was found to be most effective fungicide in checking mycelia growth of Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht followed by Score, Tilt, Captan and Thiram. Bavistin also gave maximum (78.0%) disease control when tested as seed treatment (0.2%) under cage house conditions. Among the five bio-control agents tested, Trichoderma harzianum (@ 4g/Kg) was found most effective treatment in checking mycelial growth of the pathogen and also controlling wilt of muskmelon. Seed dressing with Trichoderma viride (@ 4g/Kg) gave 50.0% disease control and 87.25% seed germination in cage house conditions.
