Abstract In the contemporary world, everyone lives in surroundings full of noise that sometimes may or may not affect people’s communication skills. Probably, these noises are in many ways responsible for communication problems such as inundating distractions, a lack of self-management, and poor self-realisation. Silence can be effective when practiced as an everyday activity. This study explores the deep relationship between silence and meditation and their inuence on human behaviour within the context of Buddhism and communication studies. Therefore, by applying qualitative methodology, this research paper engages in an inquiry into how silence is employed as a mental processing process for learning and relationships. This paper aims to nd out the role of silence and meditation within the context of self-awareness and interpersonal relationships. To explore the aspects of silence in such a way that it can be a valuable component in cognitive processes and interpersonal dynamics, this study aims to investigate how silence inuences the quality of interpersonal interactions. By examining the role of silence as a deliberate and communicative act, we seek to nd out its impact on attention and problem-solving. Through a combination of qualitative and, where applicable, quantitative methods, this study aims to capture the subjective experiences and objective outcomes associated with incorporating silence into interpersonal interactions. Finally, by exploring individual perceptions and interpretations of meditation and silence, this paper tries to explore how and in what ways silence, as an everyday practice, is likely to be useful in developing self-realisation, changes in behaviour, and control over situations such as conict management and reaching towards a peaceful life among people.
