Some haematological and biochemical profiles in canine hepatozoonosis Pawar S.D., Gatne M.L. Department of Parasitology, Bombay Veterinary College, Parel, Mumbai-400 012, India Abstract Some haematological profiles of cases of Hepatozoon canis infection revealed normocytic normochromic, microcytic hypochromic and macrocytic normochromic anaemia. Similarly, biochemical studies showed elevated levels of serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (SGOT), serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase (SGPT), alkaline phosphatase, hyperproteinemia and hypoproteinemia with reversed albumin globulin ratio.
