Abstract The present study was carried out to evaluate the effect of planting time on flowering parameters of gladiolus at Experimental Farm, Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, K.N.K. College of Horticulture, Mandsaur (M.P.) in the Malwa plateau region of Madhya Pradesh during 2021-22. The experimental material was consisted of seven treatments of different planting time i.e. T1 (15th October), T2 (25th October), T3 (5th November), T4 (15th November), T5 (25th November), T6 (5th December), T7 (15th December) with replicated thrice. Result revealed that among the planting time, T3 (5th November) performed best results with respect to most of the flowering parameters. The highest length of spike (cm), length of rachis (cm), diameter of florets (cm), number of florets per spike, fresh weight of spike (g) days taken to spike emergence were noticed in T3 (5th November) while, opening of first floret and vase life were noticed in T5 (25th November).
