Online information services during Covid-19 in college libraries

Abstract

The paper aims to review the Covid-19 pandemic from the point of view of college libraries. During the lockdown period, colleges and libraries -were closed physically and library professionals were giving various online information services to their patrons which included dissemination of information and access to e-resources. The authors give a bird's eye view of various online services provided by college librarians using various software and platforms. It also highlights the challenges faced by them. The study concluded -with some suggestions for the improvement of services and for libraries to be ready for any type offurther disasters and pandemics leading to the closure ofphysical libraries. Further areas of study have also been highlighted.
