Abstract This paper is a result of a study, which has been conducted among the college librarians in Kerala on their Information and communication technology (ICT) literacy in the digital age. The study applied a standard survey method to analyse the ICT literacy of the college librarians in Kerala. The survey is restricted to the college librarians working under the four state universities in Kerala i.e. University of Kerala, University of Calicut, Mahatma Gandhi University and Kannur University. Relevant literature of the ICT literacy and use among the various categories of users has been reviewed. The study examine the means and method of acquiring ICT skill, knowledge and skill of the operating system (OS), Use of general purpose application software, familiarity about World Wide Web, Knowledge about library automation software and digital library/Institutional repository software, method of searching, ability in various ICT related tasks, constraints in acquiring ICT skill and type of training needs in ICT related resources and services. Study highlights the need for scientific and systematic training programmes for college librarians then only they can cater the information requirements to the user community in the digital age.
