Additionally, the paper seeks to construct a model that demonstrates how these factors are interconnected and their hierarchical structure. Methodology: Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) technique has been employed to build a structural model representing the mutual relationship among the selected antecedents. MIMAC (Matrice d’Impacts croisés-multiplication appliquée et classement) was used to find out the driver-dependent relationship. Findings Seven antecedents have been identified through extensive literature surveys. Using ISM and MICMAC methods, the antecedents were clustered according to their driving and dependency powers. Leadership, organizational support, social capital, and self-determined motivation were in the progressive levels with high driving power and show a direct influence on dependent antecedents, namely absorptive capacity, knowledge sharing, and creativity training. No autonomous or linkage variables were observed. Practical Implication The proposed model provides a better understanding and association of factors that influence creativity in R&D organizations. Furthermore, the developed model could be a useful tool in providing direction for cultivating creativity in R&D organizations.
