Abstract The investigation was conducted to study the influence of drip fertigation in combination with N and K fertilizers along with boron foliar spray on quality of onion seed during storage. An experiment was carried out during two consecutive years (2014–15 and 2015–16) at the Laboratory of Department of Seed Science and Technology, Dr. Y. S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan-173230 (H.P) using Completely Randomized Design. Nitrogen and potassium fertilizers were applied through drip irrigation at three different levels viz; 100%, 80% and 60% as twenty different combinations in 10 equal splits each after 15 days interval along with boron foliar spray and distilled water before flowering respectively. The seeds of the treated plants were then harvested and stored for 8 month in air tight plastic jars at ambient temperature under shade. The results revealed that drip fertigation treatments along with boron foliar spray treatments gave significant results on quality of seeds in storage. Among all the treatments N100K100B1 exhibited maximum germination percentage (96.5%), emergence index (79.5), mean germination time (5.34), germination speed (9.73) and germination energy (92.11).
