Sustainable development goals (SDG): Targets and Achievements Verma O.S. Online published on 27 August, 2020. Abstract Member countries of United Nations were required to meet the set targets of Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. These goals were fixed in 2015 across 17 sectors. India took promising steps in meeting these goals but still remains a long way off its targets. The SDG India Index data compiled by Niti Aayog in 2019 show that of the 104 sub indicators measured for the 17 SDG, India has only met 6 targets so far.
