Abstract

The current work was aimed at evaluating the potential of aqueous (ZAE) and ethyl acetate (ZEA) extracts of Zanthoxylum acanthopodium leaves against rice moth larvae. Six different concentrations (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6%) including control were prepared and tested through topical application method. The larval mortality (%) was recorded at 24, 48, 72, and 96 h. Both the extracts demonstrated larvicidal activity; however solvent extract exhibited a more balanced and potent lethal effect compared to aqueous extract.
