Persistent toxicity and relative efficacy of different insecticides againstHyposidra infixaria Walk. (Lepidoptera: Geometridae) on tea

Abstract

Out of 10 insecticides tested against Hyposidra infixaria on tea, endosulfan 50 WDG was found to be the most persistent and pyridalyl 10 EC least persistent against 3rd instar looper larvae. The order of efficacy of different treatments was endosulfan 50 WDG > endosulfan 330 CS EC > emamectin benzoate 5 SG > endosulfan 35 EC > cypermethrin 10 EW > cypermethrin 10 AF > cypermethrin 10 EC > quinalphos 25 Gel > quinalphos EC > pyridalyl 10 EC.
