Abstract The photo-receptor organs of collembola are very simple and primitive which are in the form of post antennal organs, ocelli and pseudo ocelli. The post antennal organs are of variable shape, made up of transparent cuticle just behind the base of antennae. Ocelli are simple, elevated cuticle and dome shaped.
