Impact of ecological conditions on bee behaviour on different crops at Pantnagar, Uttrakhand

Abstract

Syzygium cumini was visited by A. dorsata and A. cerana indica. A. dorsata contributed 58. 33 per cent. The visits of A. dorsata was found to be positively coorelated with temperature. In Trifolium alexandrium, A. mellifera was found to be major Apis visitor. A. cerana indica visited the crop only at 1200h. In all the crops, A. florea was not found at any hour through out the day. Coorelation was computed between bee visits, temperature and relative humidity.
