Evaluation of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) germplasm for the resistance to gram pod borer, Helicoverpa armigera Hübner (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Maurya Ravi Prakash, Ujagir Ram, Ahmad Tariq Department of Entomology, College of Agriculture, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar - 263 145, Uttrakhand, India Abstract Studies on evaluation of chickpea germplasms for resistance to Helicoverpa armigera (Hb) indicated that genotypes ICC 1964, ICC 143, ICC 729 and ICC 515 were least susceptible to Helicoverpa armigera Hub. while others were moderately susceptible with pod borer damage ranging from 70.2% to 95.6%. The cultivar ICC 709 gave significantly higher grain yield. Top | | |
