Online published on 2 April, 2016. Abstract The study was undertaken in 29 dogs subjected to anamnesis, clinical examination, detection of anti-Ehrlichia canis antibodies by Dot-ELISA based Canine Ehrlichia Antibody Rapid Diagnostic test kit and haematobiochemistry. Out of 29, 18 (62.07%) dogs were positive for natural infection of Ehrlichia canis i.e. ehrlichiosis. Eleven dogs negative for ehrlichiosis were included in Group-I as Normal control while dogs with ehrlichiosis were categorized into 3 groups viz., Group-II (n=06, treated with Oxytetracycline @ 10 mg/kg b.wt.), Group-III (n=06, treated with Doxycycline @ 10 mg/kg b.wt.) and Group-IV (n=06, treated with Enrofloxacin @ 5 mg/kg b.wt.) for therapeutic management. Pre-treatment and post-treatment clinical as well as haematobiochemical parameters were compared. Dogs in all groups showed uneventful clinical recovery, 15th days post-treatment indicating early recovery from Ehrlichiosis.
