Online published on 6 April, 2015. Abstract The present investigation was carried out in recently calved crossbred cattle suffered from retention of placenta (ROP). All 20 ROP crossbred cattle were divided into two groups. Retained placenta was manually removed at about 24 hours of parturition and intrauterine treatments were done in two groups, group T1 animals were treated with Nitrofurazone + Urea 4 boli I/U for 3 consecutive days and T2 animals were treated with Nitrofurazone + Urea + Povidone iodine + Metronidazole 4 boli I/U for 3 consecutive days. Observations on involution of uterus in ROP cattle of treatment groups were made. The involution of uterus of ROP cattle were examined per rectally at weekly interval for 4 week and alternate day till completion.
