The cases selected were recorded with increasing tendency of prolapse due to excessive abdominal pressure during recumbent position in advance pregnant buffaloes and in majority of cases, prolapse was noticed during night hours. The cases were treated with epidural anesthesia and prolapsed masses were reposed only after proper dressing and medication. Out of 23 cases, vulval suture were applied to 08 cases (34.78%), and recurrence of prolapse was observed in 04 cases (17.39%). Prolapsed mass was retained successfully with the help of rope truss in 15 cases (65.21%) and no recurrence was recorded. It can be concluded that rope truss is effective, safe and easy method for retention of prolapse in ante-partum cervico vaginal prolapse.
