Abstract The investigation was carried out to evaluate the effect of mineral supplementation in stages of parturition and supplementation in Red Kandhari advance pregnant cows. The cows were provided with mineral and vitamin before and after 7 day of parturition. The average time required for all three stages of parturition, weight of placenta and number of cotyledons though found non-significant however, irrespective of statistical significance there is a numerical decline in average time of all three stages of parturition in treatment group as compared to control group. The weight of placenta and number of cotyledons was increased in treatment group as compared to control group. Due to prepartum dietary mineral supplementation there was no incidence of calving disorders in the treatment group. Top Keywords Cows, mineral, parturition, supplementation, vitamin. Top |
